The halcyon days of Carlisle’s “alternative” nightlife from the late 70’s through to the mid 90’s are back for the now annual COME AS YOU WERE – TWISTED WHEEL REUNION. Now in it’s 4th year, and returning to The Brickyard on Fisher Street on SATURDAY 29TH NOVEMBER 2025

From 9pm – 2am (the original Twisted Wheel opening hours)

Taking you back to a time when Carlisle was vibrant and alive with great music, and covering many of the “Alternative” genres. The event has been a huge success in recent years among both the over 50’s, but increasingly attracting a younger audience drawn in by the range and quality of music.

From Punk to Goth, from 70’s rock and Heavy Metal to Disco and Hip Hop, from Britpop to Grunge and Nu Metal and a few Kitsch student anthems, Host DJ The Liquidizer (aka the legend that is Nigel Holmes) brings his expert knowledge and experience to the table along with special guest – original Wheel DJ Dougie Kerr MBE for an unforgettable night that just isn’t on offer anywhere else.
