ACCESSIBILITY

VENUE INFORMATION

The Brickyard is a historic, leased and listed building built in 1904.

We are currently seeking funding and working on ways we can upgrade the building so that we can be more accessible for all of our customers.

MAIN VENUE ROOM

There is level access to the main venue room via the fire exit in Fisher street yard. This entrance is only available upon request and in advance of events.

The venue is otherwise accessible via 6 steps.

Unfortunately, we do not yet have a hearing loop installed.

TOILETS

The mens toilets are accessible via a staircase with 16 concrete steps. Unfortunately, these toilets do not have handrails and each cubicle measures approximately 143cm deep X 74cm wide.

The women toilets are accessible via 1 step. Unfortunately, these toilets do not have handrails and each cubicle measures approximately 139cm deep X 91cm wide.

SEATING AND DESIGNATED SEATED AREA

At all gigs, there will be a minimum of 3 seats in a designated area at the back of the venue. These will be available on a first come, first served basis requested in advance of the event. Unfortunately, as we are not yet able to provide a raised viewing platform these seats may have restricted view.

At a lot of our gigs we’re able to keep seating around the sides of the venue room, but at busy sell-out gigs we cannot allow seating at the front or sides due to health and safety risks.

STAFF ASSISTANCE

We realise our venue isn’t as accessible we would like, but we will do our best to make adjustments and provide staff assistance to make your experience more enjoyable.

LARGE PRINT MENUS

Large print menus are available at the bar upon request.

STROBE LIGHTING

There is strobe lighting and laser lighting at some of our shows. If you need to avoid strobe or laser lighting, please contact the venue in advance to check.

BLUE BADGE PARKING

There is blue badge parking on the street of the venue with the closest bay approximately 30 meters from the venue.

CUSTOMERS WITH MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS

The Brickyard welcomes attendees who need to bring medicines, food or drink to manage a medical condition, or medical equipment.

There is a defibrillator close by to the venue.

CARER PASS

If you require a carer, they are entitled to a free carer pass but proof of disability will be required. You may scan documents and email them to us via enquires@thebrickyardonline.com

We can accept the following as proof:

A Blue Badge
