Songs from her ’Livingroom Disappearance E.P. have been played on Radio 1, Radio 3 and 6 Music and her follow up ’The Grey Eulogy E.P.’ is released on the 24th of November. He has been voted 28th in DJ mags top 100 poll of the worlds best DJs and MIXMAG voted him into their top 10 of the most influential people in UK clubland. Tickets: Buy tickets online or call Ticketweb on 08444 771 000 Saturday 29th November 2008 JEFFREY LEWIS PLUS ISH MARQUEZ & STANLEY BRINKS Jeffrey Lewis was raised in New York City and is a maker of comic books, tragi-comic folk narratives, and (with brother Jack and David Beauchamp on drums) lysergic garage rock, all honed within the same NYC anti-folk scene as the Moldy Peaches. Jeffrey’s show features as much his own drawings as his heart-warming music - "low budget videos" of large illustrations displayed to accompany certain songs. Jeffrey signed to Rough Trade Records in 2001 and has since released four albums, starting with "The Last Time I Did Acid I Went Insane and Other Favorites". Coming to the UK for November dates as special guest on Jarvis Cocker’s tour, Jeffrey’s making a stop-off for this one Carlisle date - his guests include NYC’s Ish Marquez and the ex-Herman Dune alumnus, Stanley Brinks.
