PLUS TEN TONNE WASP
Kono Michi, the Brooklyn based singer, songwriter and virtuoso violinist performs her beautifully dark and original songs with a 6 piece UK band she has put together. Songs from her ’Livingroom Disappearance E.P. have been played on Radio 1, Radio 3 and 6 Music and her follow up ’The Grey Eulogy E.P.’ is released on the 24th of November. She’s been described as a "Bjork-like brooding wonderland" and is a must see for fans of Feist, Imogen Heap, Stina Nordenstam and Coco Rosie.

JEFFREY LEWIS

Jeffrey Lewis was raised in New York City and is a maker of comic books, tragi-comic folk narratives, and (with brother Jack and David Beauchamp on drums) lysergic garage rock, all honed within the same NYC anti-folk scene as the Moldy Peaches. Jeffrey’s show features as much his own drawings as his heart-warming music - "low budget videos" of large illustrations displayed to accompany certain songs. Jeffrey signed to Rough Trade Records in 2001 and has since released four albums, starting with "The Last Time I Did Acid I Went Insane and Other Favorites". Coming to the UK for November dates as special guest on Jarvis Cocker’s tour, Jeffrey’s making a stop-off for this one Carlisle date - his guests include NYC’s Ish Marquez and the ex-Herman Dune alumnus, Stanley Brinks.

A force that will have you jumping around like a pure loon. Bass militia brings you one of the most forward thinking drum and bass producer-cum-DJ partnerships around today. George Levings and Guy Brewer AKA Commix have been producing music together for about the last 3 years. After putting out 12"s on New ID, Tangent and Aquasonic in 2003 things have gone from strength to strength for Commix, with releases on Hospital, Liquid V, Advanced and 31 Records, plus high-profile remixes for DJ Die, Bebel Gilberto and Adam F.
Also playing out are versatile drum n' bass producer and Turbulence regular, Sato, plus Militia residents General Irritant, Sam P and Marc Boundforth. In the front room, Lambhuna and Friends present Johnny Bordello, Johnny Sharpe, Johnny Thieves and Chairman Blau.
